Services and Rates
Greetings! You’ve come to the right place for help with your college application essays. I have worked in college consulting for over twenty years, and essay-writing advice is my forte.
The following rate structure applies to the college application process for high school students, as well as to students applying to graduate school, including law school, med school, dental, veterinary, business school, etc.
If you have many essays to write and want unlimited help, the above rates will add up quickly. I do offer a package deal: all essays for up to 10 colleges, unlimited looks — $3,200. This includes an initial brainstorming session (1 hour) as well as a packet of brainstorming exercises. If you aren’t sure how this will play out, we can get started, and I’ll bill you at the end according to what is most cost-effective based on the time I’ve spent.

| First-draft essay editing of main essay (up to 1,000 words). This includes both big-picture content feedback as well as suggested edits for structure, style, grammar, and polish.* | $249 * Please note that—especially if we haven’t connected first in a brainstorming meeting—there is a chance in this first round of feedback that I may recommend you go in a different direction or otherwise significantly alter your approach. If this is the case, rather than proceed to suggested edits for structure, style, grammar, and polish, I will instead focus on helping you level-up your topic selection or content focus and will thus charge only $100 until you present a second draft incorporating the feedback. |

Please allow 48 hours’ turnaround for each look (although I typically return feedback within 24 hours).
Please note that I am not available on October 31st or November 1st. Have essays for early deadlines done well in advance. New essay drafts must be submitted for review no later than two weeks before the college application deadline. For example, if you are applying to a college with a November 1st early action deadline, I need your essay drafts for that college by October 15th. I strongly suggest you finish all college application essays, even those due in January, before Thanksgiving! (I am typically unavailable Thanksgiving week.)
